💠How to write emails people can’t ignore
As with everything, these are just our views, and you don’t need to consider every single one. But, if you do, over the course of a year you’ll have tried 52 extra things to improve your sales and marketing and make your business less shit.

If you ever write cold sales emails without any guidance then you know you’re unlikely to get a reply.Â
But, you need to be able to open up your own opportunities for your business and know that if inbound leads dry up, you can go out there and win over a new client.Â
You’ll have received sales emails before.
How many have actually stood out to you?
They usually all sound the same and follow the same pattern. 👇
Hi, I’m so and so.Â
I work for a business that can do XYZ for you and we’re so great!Â
We’ve worked with X and we’re the best ever at Y.Â
Do you have this problem?
I’d love to be able to talk to you about what it is we do that is so great and hopefully you can apply it to your own business.Â
Can we book a call?
Kind regards

Here are some things people get wrong with cold email pitches:
👉 Ego ego ego.Â
They’re all about why you’re so great. This filters through into how people talk about themselves on every platform. It’s never about you.Â
👉 They try to impress and persuade with jargon.Â
People think they need to speak in a way that’s different than who they are. Who are you writing to? A person. Nobody takes a top management job and suddenly decides to forget every human trait they have or suddenly dislike laughter because that’s something they did when they weren’t as successful as they are now. If you wouldn’t naturally say it out loud, don’t write it down in an email.Â
👉 They’re presumptuous.Â
People always say you need to solve a problem, so it makes that people go in and make presumptions that they solve in their emails. How do you know they have that problem, you’ve not spoken to them yet? You can’t pitch a solution when you don’t know that problem exists.Â
👉The rhythm of the email is boring and there’s no story.
Too scared to try something new. People play it safe and think they need to adhere to how other people do things. But if it’s not getting you results, where’s the logic? Tell a story from start to finish, make it interesting.Â
