Who is he and why should you believe a word he says?
Mike’s the Co-founder of IAM Productions, an animation and video production agency in Warrington, and The Contrepreneur movement on YouTube.
Sold his business_
A few years back he was part of a team that built and sold a business for £8 million in the space of about 2 years.
After that, he and Ian got back together to use the lessons they learnt in business one and apply them to business two. Turns out it’s not always that simple.

After launching The Contrepreneur YouTube channel, Mike and the team set out to show that not everything is about quick wins and believing what you see on socials. Many copyright strikes and legal letters later, it’s safe to say he’s caused a stir in the Contrepreneur world and continues to call out fake business gurus online.
So much so, Netflix wanted in and credited him in Money, Explained, a 5-episode Netflix original series. What more social proof do you want?
We would have mentioned the 85k followers he had on LinkedIn, but that came to a swift end when he posted the final nail in the coffin earlier this year which got him banned from the platform. We talk about it in episode one, so join the community if you want to hear why.
Banned Amazon bestseller_
In a bid to prove a point that you shouldn’t take the value of something on face value, Mike wrote a book which very quickly became a bestseller. The only thing was, it had no content in it and absolutely no reason to do so well.
It goes to show that unless you’re actually getting some kind of value back from these influencers and business people who claim they can help you make millions, can you really believe a word they say?
No pressure for us on this based on that.
Unlike them we’re not claiming to make you rich and we’re not going to be the one to launch your business into worldwide success, but we will share the wins and losses of what we’ve learnt along the way, and what you do with that info is up to you.
