Hey, Itās Mike š
Hereās my four-step process to increase the number of leads you generate and send into your sales funnel.Ā
Even though we all know the importance of leads, I see lots of small business owners ignore this part of the process.Ā
In todayās issue, Iām sharing my own sales process for generating new leads.Ā
Itās the system I used to sign up 340 clients for my training subscription business.Ā
I went from 0 to 80 clients in 12 months.Ā
Iād signed up 200 by the end of year 2.Ā
And 340 at the point I exited the business.Ā
All by using this simple system.Ā
Hereās how I did it.Ā This one is about a 10-minute read.Ā š
āIām not very good at salesāĀ
I hear it all the time and if youāre a small business owner thereās no excuse for it.Ā
If this is you, stop thinking of sales as a dirty word.
If your product or service is good, then youāre not forcing something on people, youāre helping them overcome a problem.
If your product is shit and you feel bad about selling it, that's an entirely different problem.Ā
And donāt passively wait for leads to come to you.Ā
Closing a lead that's prequalified through your webform is great, but itās not sales. Thatās order-taking.Ā
Even if youāve set up paid ads, backlinks, and SEO, this 4 step process will help you generate even more leads.Ā
And who doesnāt want more opportunities to close?Ā
Iām going to assume we all now understand the importance of posting content.
Written posts, videos, podcasts and so on.Ā
What worked particularly well for me was written posts that talked about the problems my target clients had.Ā
āE-learning is expensiveā
āElearning is boringāĀ
E-leaning isnāt a very good way to learnāĀ
The important lesson is I did this every day. I wasnāt worried about going viral. I just made sure I was talking about a topic my target audience would be interested in.Ā
With the content posted (for me, my main platform was LinkedIn, but the process works where ever you get the most engagement) I then followed these four steps religiously.Ā š
